Fellowship Opportunities

Each year, the Smithsonian Marine Station promotes the education of emerging scientists by offering one or more research fellowships. The Marine Station hosts graduate, predoctoral, postdoctoral, and senior postdoctoral fellows.  These fellowships are funded by the Smithsonian Institution and by the Link Foundation. The Smithsonian Institution Fellowships support postdoctoral, senior postdoctoral, and predoctoral fellows.  The Link Foundation Fellowships are 12-week fellowships for currently enrolled graduate students.   Descriptions of these opportunities and the application materials are available on their respective pages. A list of Current Fellows and Former Fellows, their home universities, and their research projects is also available. To learn about the research interests of scientists at SMS, go to the Specific Research Interests Page.

The Smithsonian Marine Station is a facility of the
National Museum of Natural History.
The Smithsonian Institution is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
